Target Information
FGF2 (FGFb, fibroblast growth factor basic)는 fibroblast growth factor (FGF) 계열에 속하며, 고친화성 막수용체와 상호작용하여 세포 증식 및 조직 신생혈관 형성에 영향을 미칩니다.
FGF2는 서로 다른 세포 내 위치와 기능을 가진 다섯 가지 isoform으로 존재합니다.
- 18 kDa isoform: 세포질에 주로 존재하며 세포막 수용체를 통해 작용
- 22, 22.5, 24, 34 kDa isoform: 핵 내에 존재하며 막수용체 비의존적 신호전달 가능
FGF2 유전자는 인간 염색체 4q에 위치하며, 사지 및 신경계 발달, 상처 치유, 종양 성장 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에 관여합니다.
mRNA는 여러 polyadenylation site를 가지며, 비전형적 개시코돈(CUG)과 표준 개시코돈(AUG)에서 번역되어 다섯 가지 isoform을 생성합니다.
CUG 개시 isoform은 핵 내에서 intracrine 효과를, AUG 개시 isoform은 세포질 내에서 paracrine 및 autocrine 효과를 담당합니다.
