ATG5 단백질은 자가포식(autophagy) 과정에 필수적인 단백질로, ATG12와 결합하여 유비퀴틴 유사 결합 시스템에서 E1-like 효소로 작용합니다. 본 항체는 인간 ATG5 유래 합성 펩타이드를 면역원으로 제작된 토끼 폴리클로날 항체입니다.

Background	The protein encoded by this gene, in combination with autophagy protein 12, functions as an E1-like activating enzyme in a ubiquitin-like conjugating system. It participates in autophagic vesicle formation, mitochondrial quality control, antiviral response regulation, lymphocyte development, MHC II antigen presentation, adipocyte differentiation, and apoptosis.
