Target Information
C/EBP delta (CEBPD) belongs to the CCAAT enhancer binding protein (CEBP) family of transcription factors, all of which contain a conserved basic-leucine zipper domain involved in dimerization and DNA binding.
At least six members (CEBP alpha to CEBP zeta) have been identified.
CEBPD regulates gene expression in tissues such as liver, adipose, lung, and intestine.
It acts as a transcriptional activator in immune and inflammatory responses and exhibits tumor suppressor-like properties.
