Target Information
Cyclins are regulatory subunits of cyclin-dependent kinases (cdks) that control transition through specific phases of the cell cycle. Their temporal expression is tightly regulated and plays a critical role in controlling cdk enzymatic activity. In mammalian somatic cells, Cyclin A is required for S phase progression and passage through G2-phase.
