Description:
This is a monoclonal mouse IgG2a, kappa antibody used as an isotype control for mouse IgG2a antibodies.
Applications Reported:
Reported for use in cell surface and intracellular flow cytometric analysis, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry.
Applications Tested:
The FITC-conjugated mouse IgG2a isotype control has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells and should be used at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Target Information
Mouse IgG2a is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigen exposure. It is the second most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a key role in adaptive immune responses, including opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity. It also regulates immune responses through T cell activation and B cell inhibition. Widely used in research and diagnostic applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, and in therapeutic studies including immunotherapy and vaccine development.
