Target Information
RAB21은 Ras superfamily에 속하는 소형 GTP 결합 단백질 유전자 아형의 구성원으로, 세포 내 소포 수송에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 비극성 Caco-2 세포에서는 일반적인 소포체(ER) 유사 위치에 존재하며, 극성 세포에서는 apical vesicle에 국한되어 있습니다. RAB21은 integrin 서브유닛과 결합하여 RAB5/RAB21 endosome을 통한 수용체의 세포 내 진입에 관여합니다. 또한 GTPase-activating protein인 p120RasGAP은 endocytosed integrin의 세포막 복귀를 조절하며, RAB21과의 결합 경쟁을 통해 세포 운동성을 제어합니다.
