Target Information
RAB21은 Ras superfamily에 속하는 소형 GTP 결합 단백질 유전자 아형의 하나로, 세포 내 소포 이동에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 비극성 Caco-2 세포에서는 일반적인 ER 유사 위치에 존재하며, 극성화된 세포에서는 apical vesicle에 위치합니다. RAB21은 integrin 서브유닛과 결합하여 RAB5/RAB21 endosome을 통한 수용체 내입에 관여합니다. 또한 GTPase-activating protein p120RasGAP은 endocytosed integrin의 세포막 복귀를 조절하며, RAB21과 경쟁하여 integrin alpha-tail의 결합 부위를 공유함으로써 세포 이동성을 조절합니다.
