Product Specific Information
This antibody is a monoclonal mixture of FITC-conjugated CD8 (clone 17D8, isotype IgG1) and PE-conjugated CD45RA (clone BHKG-2, isotype IgG1).
Target Information
The CD8 molecule consists of alpha and beta chains and is expressed on a subset of cytotoxic/suppressor T cells, comprising approximately 20–35% of human peripheral blood lymphocytes. CD8 is also present on natural killer cells, 80% of thymocytes, about 30% of peripheral blood cells, and 15–30% of bone marrow cells.
CD45 (Leukocyte Common Antigen, LCA) is a family of membrane glycoproteins (220, 205, 190, 180 kDa) expressed on hematopoietic cells but absent on non-hematopoietic tissues. The intracellular domain possesses protein phosphatase activity, involved in transmembrane signal regulation.
