Target Information

Ribosomes are organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consisting of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. These subunits comprise 4 RNA species and about 80 distinct proteins.
The DYNC1LI1 gene encodes a ribosomal protein component of the 40S subunit, belonging to the S12E family, and is located in the cytoplasm. Increased expression has been observed in colorectal cancer tissues compared to normal mucosa. Multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene exist throughout the genome.
