Target Information
WDR4 단백질은 tRNA의 7-methylguanosine 변형에 필수적인 단백질입니다. WD 반복 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, 약 40개의 아미노산으로 구성된 WD 반복 서열을 포함합니다. 이러한 반복 서열은 복합체 형성을 촉진하며, 세포 주기 조절, 신호 전달, 세포사멸, 유전자 발현 조절 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다.
WDR4 유전자는 비증후성 난청(DFNB10)과는 관련이 없으나, 21q22.3 영역에 위치한 다른 질환 및 다운 증후군 표현형 발현과 관련될 가능성이 제시되었습니다.
이 유전자는 최소 3개의 전사 변이체를 생성하며, 그 중 2개는 3' UTR에서 다르게 스플라이싱되어 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
