Target Information
ICAM-2 (Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 2)는 ICAM 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 Type I 막관통성 당단백질입니다.
이 단백질들은 2–9개의 immunoglobulin-like C2-type 도메인을 포함하며, 백혈구 접착 단백질 LFA-1과 결합합니다.
ICAM-2는 LFA-1 의존적 세포 접착을 차단하여 림프구 재순환에 관여할 수 있으며, 항원 특이적 면역반응, NK 세포 매개 제거, 림프구 재순환 및 면역 감시와 관련된 세포 간 상호작용을 매개합니다.
이 유전자는 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변이를 가지고 있으며, ICAM2 관련 질환으로는 Colon Carcinoma In Situ가 보고되어 있습니다.
