Target Information
ATF6 beta (CREBL1)는 소포체 스트레스 시 전개되는 단백질 반응(Unfolded Protein Response, UPR) 경로의 전사인자입니다. ATF6-alpha와의 이합체 혹은 동종이합체 형태로 ER 스트레스 반응 요소에 결합하여 UPR 표적 유전자의 발현을 활성화합니다. 정상 상태에서는 소포체 막에 존재하지만, ER 스트레스 시 N-말단 세포질 도메인이 절단되어 핵으로 이동합니다. 이 유전자는 두 개의 전사 변이체를 가지며, Creb/ATF 하위계열의 bZip 전사인자 초계열과 서열 유사성을 보입니다. 세포질과 핵 모두에 위치하며, 인간 염색체 6의 MHC class III 영역에 위치합니다.
