Product Specific Information

This antibody recognizes the p40 subunit and the p70 heterodimer of human IL-12, and can be used as a capture antibody in ELISA assays. It does not effectively neutralize IL-12.

AHC9122 is >98% pure by SDS-PAGE. Further dilutions should be made in medium or buffered solution with carrier protein, such as PBS with 0.1–1.0% BSA. The addition of a preservative is also recommended for long-term storage. For maximal stability, apportion into working aliquots and store at -70°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Information

IL-12 p70, also known as interleukin-12, is a cytokine that plays a critical role in the immune system’s response to infections and cancer. It is produced by immune cells, including dendritic cells, macrophages, and B cells, in response to certain pathogens and tumor cells. IL-12 p70 stimulates the production of interferon-gamma and other cytokines, promoting activation and proliferation of T cells and natural killer cells.

IL-12 p70 has been studied as a potential therapeutic target for infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, and cancer. It enhances immune responses against certain infections and tumors and modulates inflammatory responses in autoimmune diseases.
