For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CYP2A6 gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. These enzymes function as monooxygenases, catalyzing reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids, and other lipids.
CYP2A6 localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and is induced by phenobarbital. It hydroxylates coumarin and metabolizes nicotine, aflatoxin B1, nitrosamines, and some pharmaceuticals.
Individuals with certain allelic variants exhibit a poor metabolizer phenotype, showing reduced efficiency in metabolizing coumarin or nicotine.
This gene belongs to a large cluster of cytochrome P450 genes (CYP2A, CYP2B, CYP2F subfamilies) on chromosome 19q, and was formerly known as CYP2A3.
