Target Information
Ribosomes are organelles that catalyze protein synthesis and consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. These subunits include 4 RNA species and approximately 80 distinct proteins.
The RPL26 gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 60S subunit and belongs to the L24P family. It is located in the cytoplasm, and multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene are dispersed throughout the genome.
