For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The ADH5 gene encodes a member of the alcohol dehydrogenase family. These enzymes metabolize a wide range of substrates including ethanol, retinol, aliphatic alcohols, hydroxysteroids, and lipid peroxidation products.
The encoded protein forms a homodimer and exhibits high activity for oxidation of long-chain primary alcohols and S-hydroxymethyl-glutathione, a formaldehyde-glutathione adduct.
This enzyme plays a key role in formaldehyde detoxification, protecting cells from irritant and sensitizing effects such as lacrymation, rhinitis, and dermatitis.
The human genome contains several non-transcribed pseudogenes related to ADH5.
