Target Information
TPM4 (tropomyosin 4)는 actin 결합 단백질인 tropomyosin 계열에 속하며, 횡문근 및 평활근의 수축 시스템과 비근육 세포의 세포골격에 관여합니다. TPM4는 troponin 복합체와 함께 칼슘 의존적 근육 수축 조절에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다. Tropomyosin은 coiled-coil 단백질의 이합체로, 대부분의 actin 필라멘트의 주요 홈을 따라 end-to-end로 중합되어 필라멘트 안정성을 부여하고 다른 actin 결합 단백질의 접근을 조절합니다. 근육 세포에서는 myosin head가 actin 필라멘트에 결합하는 것을 조절하여 근육 수축을 제어합니다. 이 유전자는 다양한 isoform을 인코딩하는 여러 전사 변형체를 가집니다.
