Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The ALOX5 gene encodes a protein required for leukotriene synthesis together with the Arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase-activating protein.
Leukotrienes are arachidonic acid metabolites involved in inflammatory responses such as asthma, arthritis, and psoriasis.
This protein localizes to the plasma membrane. Inhibitors of its function impede translocation of 5-lipoxygenase from the cytoplasm to the cell membrane and inhibit its activation.
