Apolipoprotein A4 (ApoA-IV)는 프로테올리틱 처리 후 O-결합 당단백질 형태로 존재하는 혈장 단백질입니다. HDL의 주요 구성 성분이며, 새로 합성된 킬로미크론 표면에서도 발견됩니다. ApoA4의 생리적 기능은 완전히 규명되지 않았으나, 여러 연구에서 말초 세포의 콜레스테롤을 간으로 운반하는 역콜레스테롤 수송 경로에 관여함이 시사되었습니다.
