Target Information
PCCA 단백질은 홀수 사슬 지방산, 이소류신, 트레오닌, 메티오닌, 발린의 분해 경로에서 핵심 효소로 작용합니다. 6개의 비오틴 결합 α-소단위와 6개의 β-소단위로 구성된 12량체 형태로 존재하며, 미토콘드리아 기질에 위치합니다.
PCCA 유전자 결함은 프로피온산혈증 1형(Propionic Acidemia Type I, PA-1)의 원인이 되며, 구토, 무기력, 케토시스, 호중구 감소증, 혈소판 감소증, 저감마글로불린혈증, 발달 지연, 단백질 불내성 등의 증상을 유발합니다.
