Target Information
CRSP (Cofactor Required for Sp1 transcriptional activation) is ubiquitously expressed in various tissues and functions as a multimeric complex composed of nine distinct subunits. Several CRSP family members share sequence similarity with yeast transcriptional mediator proteins, including CRSP150 (related to yeast Rgr1) and CRSP70 (similar to elongation factor TFIIS). CRSP77 and CRSP150 are related to proteins in the murine mediator complex, while CRSP130 and CRSP34 are largely unrelated to murine or yeast proteins. CRSP subunits also associate with larger co-activator complexes such as ARC/DRI and NAT, which interact with transcriptional regulators to modulate gene expression.
