Target Information
TRAIL (also known as Apo-2L) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family that induces apoptosis in various transformed cell lines.
TRAIL-R4, a member of the TRAIL receptor family, activates NF-kappaB but does not induce apoptosis.
It shows widespread tissue expression and is located on chromosome 8p22-21 along with other TRAIL receptors.
