Product Specific Information

  • Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
  • Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature.

Target Information

Inward rectifier potassium channels preferentially allow potassium influx rather than efflux. Their voltage dependence is modulated by extracellular potassium concentration; as external potassium increases, the voltage range for channel opening shifts positively. Inward rectification is mainly due to blockage of outward current by internal magnesium.
KCNJ13 exhibits low single-channel conductance, low sensitivity to external barium and cesium, and its rectification properties are independent of internal magnesium.
