Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: Add 50 µL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships lyophilized at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at −20 °C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4 °C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at −20 °C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Inward rectifier potassium channels preferentially allow potassium influx rather than efflux.
Their voltage dependence is regulated by extracellular potassium concentration; higher external potassium shifts channel opening to more positive voltages.
Inward rectification arises mainly from blockage of outward current by internal magnesium.
KCNJ13 exhibits low single-channel conductance, low sensitivity to external barium and cesium block, and no dependence of rectification on internal magnesium.
