Target Information
AIPL1는 Leber 선천성 흑암증(LCA)과 관련된 단백질로, 광수용체의 비정상적인 발달로 인한 상염색체 열성 질환에 관여합니다.
AIPL1은 tetratricopeptide repeat 단백질로, HSP90 매개 핵 내 이동 및 aryl hydrocarbon receptor의 전사활성화에 관여하는 ARA9과 높은 상동성을 보입니다.
또한 AIPL1은 Hsp90 및 Hsp70과 상호작용하는 샤페론 복합체의 일부로 작용하며, 세포주기 조절 인자인 NUB1과도 결합합니다.
AIPL1은 Hsp70과 협력하여 NUB1 inclusion의 형성을 억제하며, 이러한 상호작용은 정상적인 광수용체 성숙에 필수적입니다.
LCA를 유발하는 돌연변이는 이러한 샤페론 상호작용을 손상시킵니다.
