Target Information
Laminins are extracellular matrix glycoproteins and major non-collagenous components of basement membranes. They are involved in cell adhesion, differentiation, migration, signaling, neurite outgrowth, and metastasis. Laminins consist of three non-identical chains (alpha, beta, gamma) forming a cruciform structure. Mutations in the LMNB1 gene are associated with autosomal dominant adult-onset demyelinating leukodystrophy (ADLD).
