This antibody has specificity for Human CD45.

Target Information

CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising about 10% of surface proteins in lymphocytes. It is absent in non-hematopoietic tissues and cell lines.
CD45 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling by regulating Src-family kinases. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing common transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions.
CD45RA, one isoform, shows restricted expression among lymphoid cell subtypes. Isoforms vary in localization to lipid rafts and expression depending on cell type and physiological state.
CD45 is essential in T- and B-cell receptor signaling, suppresses JAK kinases in cytokine receptor pathways, and modulates integrin-mediated signaling, apoptosis, and immune regulation.
