Target Information
NALP proteins are cytoplasmic proteins forming a subfamily within the larger CATERPILLER family and are believed to play an essential role in cell proliferation and reproduction.
NALP13 contains a C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) region, an N-terminal Pyrin domain (PYD), a NACHT domain, and a NACHT-associated domain.
Although little is known about the function of NALP13, it may be involved in the activation of proinflammatory caspases via inflammasomes.
