Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris Buffer with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Cdc20 is required for full ubiquitin ligase activity of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C) and may confer substrate specificity to the complex. It is regulated by MAD2L1: in metaphase, the MAD2L1–CDC20–APC/C ternary complex is inactive, and in anaphase, the CDC20–APC/C binary complex becomes active in degrading substrates. The CDC20–APC/C complex positively regulates synaptic vesicle clustering at the presynaptic membrane in postmitotic neurons. CDC20–APC/C-induced degradation of NEUROD2 promotes presynaptic differentiation.
