Target Information
Phospholipase A-2-activating protein (PLAA), also known as PLAP, interacts with ubiquitin and is involved in maintaining ubiquitin levels. PLAA includes multiple consensus domains such as WD repeats, PFU domain, and PUL domain. Although the precise function remains unclear, its ubiquitin binding is thought to connect ubiquitination and degradation in ERAD pathways. Recent studies indicate PLAA acts as a novel nociceptive mediator post-incision, with expression regulated by miR-203.
