This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Mouse S100A8/MRP-8.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing two EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. S100 proteins are localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells and are involved in regulating cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. S100 genes include at least 13 members clustered on chromosome 1q21. This protein may function in inhibiting casein kinase and act as a cytokine. Altered expression of this protein is associated with cystic fibrosis.
