Target Information
MICB encodes the highly polymorphic MHC (HLA) class I chain-related gene B. The protein is expressed on the cell surface and functions as a stress-induced antigen recognized by intestinal epithelial γδ T cells. MICB interacts with NKG2D receptors on NK cells and T cells, leading to cytolytic activity against epithelial tumor cells.
