Thermo Fisher Scientific Mouse IL-10 Recombinant Protein

Product Specific Information
- Use: Mouse IL-10 exerts activity in the range of 0.2 to 20 ng/mL for most in vitro applications.
- Reconstitution and Dilution: Reconstitute in distilled water to a concentration of 100 µg/mL. After reconstitution, dilute cytokine in a neutral buffer containing carrier protein such as 5–10% FBS or 1–4% high purity BSA (fatty acid free fraction V).
- Storage Stability: Lyophilized product is stable until expiration if stored desiccated below 0ºC. Cytokines diluted as indicated above should be divided into aliquots and stored at -70ºC. Recombinant proteins should be stored at concentrations >500 ng/mL to reduce loss of activity.
Target Information
IL-10 encodes a cytokine primarily produced by monocytes and lymphocytes. It plays a critical role in immunoregulation and inflammation by down-regulating Th1 cytokines, MHC class II antigens, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages. IL-10 enhances B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production, blocks NF-kappa B activity, and regulates the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. Knockout studies indicate its essential role as an immunoregulator in the intestinal tract. Mutations in IL10 are associated with increased susceptibility to HIV-1 infection and rheumatoid arthritis. Related diseases include Graft-Versus-Host Disease and Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1.
