- Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water and centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
- The antigen is homologous in many species including rat, human, marmoset, zebrafish, xenopus, and guinea pig.
- Specificity: Catalase.
Target Information
Catalase is a homotetrameric heme-containing enzyme located in the matrix of all peroxisomes.
It catalyzes the dismutation of hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.
Human catalase contains the terminal sequence (-KANL) for peroxisome targeting.
Each monomer has a molecular weight of approximately 61.3 kDa.
Catalase plays roles in inflammation, mutagenesis, apoptosis prevention, and tumor development.
Deficiency of catalase leads to acatalasemia (Takahara’s disease).
