Target Information
CRP (C-reactive protein)는 주요 급성기 단백질로, 다섯 개의 동일한 비당화 소단위체로 구성된 24 kDa 크기의 펜타머 단백질입니다. 간에서 생성되며, 염증 반응 시 혈중 농도가 급격히 증가합니다. CRP는 고전적 보체 경로의 개시자 역할을 하며, 염증 및 손상된 세포를 인식하고 제거하는 선천면역 반응에 관여합니다. 또한 chromatin, histones 등 여러 핵 성분과 결합하여 세포 괴사 과정에서 스캐빈저 역할을 합니다. CRP 수치 상승은 고혈압 및 심혈관 질환 위험 증가와 관련이 있습니다.
