Target Information
ATG12는 자가포식 단백질군의 일원으로, ATG5와 결합하여 단백질 지질화 과정에서 유비퀴틴-단백질 리가아제(E3) 유사 활성을 갖습니다. 이 복합체는 RIG-I 및 VISA(IPS-1)와 같은 선천면역 반응 단백질과 상호작용하여 type I interferon 생성을 억제하고 바이러스 복제를 허용합니다. 또한 ATG7 존재 하에 인간 배아 신장 세포에서 ATG10과 상호작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. ATG12는 최소 두 가지 isoform이 존재하며, 자가포식은 세포 단백질의 분해를 담당하는 중요한 과정으로, 영양 결핍 상태에서 세포 생존에 기여하고 종양 세포에서는 이 과정이 결함을 보일 수 있습니다. TOR 단백질에 의해 음성 조절됩니다.
