Target Information
Complement component 4 binding protein (C4bp)는 α 및 β 사슬로 구성된 3가지 변형체를 가지며, 주요 형태는 7개의 α 사슬과 1개의 β 사슬로 이루어진 570 kDa 복합체입니다. 다른 형태로는 530 kDa α 사슬 homoheptamer와 500 kDa (6 α + 1 β 사슬) 복합체가 있습니다.
C4bp는 classical complement pathway의 활성화를 조절하며, C3b/C4b inactivator의 cofactor로 작용하여 C4b 및 C3b의 절단에 관여합니다. 또한 C4bC2a 복합체(C3 convertase)의 분해를 가속화하여 보체 활성화를 억제합니다.
C4bp의 α 및 β 사슬은 항응고 단백질 S와 상호작용하며, α 사슬은 protein S에 결합합니다. C4bp는 혈청 내에 발현됩니다.
