Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
L1 protein is a major capsid protein of HPV type 16.
HPV 6 and 11 are associated with relatively benign diseases such as genital warts, while types 16 and 18 are strongly associated with cervical, vaginal, and vulvar malignancies.
