Target Information
STT3B는 올리고사카라이드 트랜스퍼라아제(OST) 복합체의 촉매 서브유닛으로, 단백질 N-당화의 첫 단계를 촉매합니다. 이 효소는 돌리콜-피로인산으로부터 글리칸을 나선형 폴리펩타이드의 Asn-X-Ser/Thr 모티프에 전달합니다.
STT3B 함유 복합체는 공번역 및 번역 후 N-당화를 모두 매개하며, 특히 번역 후 당화 효율에 중요합니다. 또한 접힘이 잘못된 단백질의 N-당화를 매개하여 ER 연관 분해(ERAD) 경로를 통해 제거되도록 합니다.
STT3B는 질병 변이체 AMYL-TTR Asp-38을 Asn-118에서 당화시켜 분해를 유도합니다.
