PEP-1258 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-21144.
Target Information
The IRF (interferon regulatory factor) family of transcription factors are characterized by a unique tryptophan pentad repeat DNA-binding domain. The IRFs regulate interferons in response to viral infection and control interferon-inducible genes. IRF4 is lymphocyte-specific and negatively regulates toll-like-receptor (TLR) signaling, central to innate and adaptive immune activation. A chromosomal translocation involving this gene and the IgH locus, t(6;14)(p25;q32), may cause multiple myeloma. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
