Target Information
C1orf31, also known as COA6, is a conserved mitochondrial protein required for respiratory complex IV biogenesis. Recent studies indicate that C1orf31 is essential for maintaining cytochrome c oxidase (CcO) subunit levels and plays a role in copper delivery to CcO. Defects in C1orf31 are associated with mitochondrial respiratory chain disease (MRCD). (24549041)
