Description:
The eBioTR23 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Toll-like receptor 1 (TLR1, CD281). TLR1 (~98 kDa) belongs to the Toll-like receptor family and is closely related to mouse TLR6 in both structure and function. It forms a complex with TLR2 to bind bacterially derived triacyl lipopeptides and soluble factors from Neisseria meningitidis. TLR1 is expressed by macrophages, and TLR1-deficient mice show impaired cytokine production upon stimulation with triacyl lipopeptides and mycobacterial lipoproteins.

This eBioTR23 (TR23) antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometry and immunoprecipitation.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse TLR1-transfected Baf/3 cells. Recommended ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration is advised for optimal performance.
Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
TLR1 is a Toll-like receptor involved in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are conserved from Drosophila to humans and recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs). They mediate cytokine production essential for immune response development. Mammalian TLRs are transmembrane proteins with leucine-rich repeats and an IL-1 receptor motif. In mice, TLR1 interacts with TLR2, enhancing NF-κB activation in response to synthetic lipopeptides. TLR1 recognizes lipid configurations of native mycobacterial lipoproteins and tri-acylated lipopeptides. Alternative splicing and polyadenylation may produce different transcript lengths.
