Target Information
CD336, also known as NKp44 or NCR2, is a 44-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein of the natural cytotoxicity receptor (NCR) family. It contains an ITIM domain in its cytoplasmic tail and requires association with DAP12 for NK cell activation. Originally identified on IL-2-activated NK cells and subsets of γδ T lymphocytes, CD336 expression has also been observed in IL-3-stimulated plasmacytoid dendritic cells, αβ T cells in the small intestinal epithelium, and T cells in cord blood. CD336 plays a key role in the innate immune response of activated NK cells against viral infection and tumor proliferation.
