Target Information
Tis7, also known as IFRD1, is a 442 amino acid membrane-associated, non-nuclear intracellular protein belonging to the IFRD family. It functions as a regulatory protein expressed in various tissues and plays a key role in gene activity regulation during proliferative and differentiative pathways induced by NGF. Reports indicate that Tis7 may act as an autocrine factor modulating ligand-induced signals and promoting the production of differentiated enterocytes. It also acts as a negative regulator of transcriptional activity, repressing genes involved in myogenesis, muscle maintenance, and regeneration in a histone deacetylase-dependent manner.
