Product Specific Information
- IHC (PFA-fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For staining of formalin-fixed tissues, heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
The product of this gene is an epsilon subunit of the coatomer protein complex. Coatomer is a cytosolic protein complex that binds to dilysine motifs and reversibly associates with Golgi non-clathrin-coated vesicles. It is required for budding from Golgi membranes and is essential for retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. The coatomer complex consists of at least the alpha, beta, beta’, gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta subunits. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
