Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM Citrate Buffer (pH 6.0) for 10–20 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)는 대부분의 선상 및 관상 상피세포와 일부 조혈세포 계통에서 발현되는 세포 표면 점액당단백질입니다. MUC1은 큰 점액유사 세포외 도메인을 가지는 막관통형 당단백질로, 다양한 O-결합 글리칸이 추가되어 고도로 시알산화된 형태를 가집니다. MUC1은 고도로 다형성이며, 각 대립유전자는 반복 서열 수(30~90)에 따라 분자량이 달라집니다.
이 단백질은 대부분의 분비성 상피(예: 유선)와 90% 이상의 유방암 및 전이암에서 풍부하게 발현됩니다. 또한 MUC1은 모든 erbB 수용체와 결합하며, lactating gland에서 EGFR(erbB1)과 공위치하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손으로 구성되며, 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변이체를 생성합니다. MUC1의 과발현, 세포내 위치 변화, 당화 이상은 다양한 암종과 관련이 있습니다.
