Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is greater than 95% as confirmed by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Reticulocalbin 1 (RCN1) is a calcium-binding protein located in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). It contains six conserved EF-hand motifs associated with high-affinity Ca²⁺ binding. The conservation of residues outside these motifs suggests additional biochemical functions beyond calcium binding. In human endothelial and prostate cancer cell lines, RCN1 localizes to the plasma membrane.
