WDR66 contains 9 WD repeats. This protein belongs to the WD repeat-containing family, which functions in the formation of protein–protein complexes in various biological pathways. WDR66 may play a role in determining mean platelet volume (MPV), and gene polymorphisms are associated with MPV variance. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
