Target Information
This gene is located in the surfeit gene cluster, a group of tightly linked housekeeping genes with no sequence similarity. It is oriented head-to-head with RPL7A (SURF3), sharing a bidirectional promoter. The encoded proteins localize to the cytoplasm. Two alternative transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
