C13orf15는 세포주기 특이적 키나아제의 활성을 조절하며 CDK1 활성을 증가시킵니다. 세포주기 조절에 관여하고, G2/M 전이 단계에서 유사분열 진행을 억제하여 교모세포종 세포의 성장을 억제할 수 있습니다. 또한 섬유아세포 활성화를 통해 신장 섬유화의 발병에 관여하는 섬유화 인자로 작용할 수 있습니다.
